This is a self-service tool, not legal, tax or assurance advice. It follows the Basic Module (B1–B11) of Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2026/1560. Check figures before you send them to a customer or bank.
Where do I find these numbers?
- Electricity, gas, heat (B3): add up the 12 monthly invoices for the year. Gas invoices in Romania already show kWh.
- Grid emission factor (B3): the standard asks for location-based Scope 2, which uses the national grid average. A public source is the European Environment Agency indicator GHG emission intensity of electricity generation (CC BY 4.0). Use the latest year for your country and note the source in the "Scope 3 / other" box. The supplier mix printed on your electricity bill is market-based, so you can report it separately on a voluntary basis.
- Fuel for company cars and generators: fuel-card statements or receipts (litres).
- Waste (B7): invoices or annual reports from your waste collector, which usually state the tonnes collected.
- Employees, hours, training (B8–B10): payroll, the employee register and timesheets. A recordable accident is a death or more than 3 days of absence.
Default Scope 1 factors: IPCC 2006 Guidelines, Vol. 2, Ch. 1 (Tables 1.2 and 1.4). Diesel 2.653 kg CO2/l, petrol 2.295 kg/l, LPG 1.627 kg/l, natural gas 0.1818 kg/kWh (gross calorific value, assuming NCV/GCV = 0.9). Densities are mid-points of EN 590 and EN 228. These count CO2 only; CH4 and N2O from combustion are usually under 1% and are not included.
